Aviation News International – Today, Global Airlines announced the full ownership acquisition of MSN120, an Airbus A380 that will become 9H-GLOBL.
The airline said the last time the aircraft flew was back in December 2022, and is currently being maintained and looked after in the Mojave Desert.

Global Airlines Takes Full Ownership of MSN120: Airbus A380…
It is understood that 9H-GLOBL is expected to leave the desert in the next few weeks, with the airline also confirming the next airport it will be stored at for final preparations.
“Lots of people predicted we wouldn’t make it even this far, and I couldn’t be happier to be giving MSN 120 a second lease of life.
“The fact that after such a rigorous inspection from BCA and Hi Fly,the aircraft was found to be in such good condition is testemant not only to our unwavering commitment to safety, but to the enginerring excellence of Airbus.
“I must also thank Jet Midwest for all their help and assistance this past year, and hopefully we will be able to work with them on identifying and acquiring more A380’s and developing our fleet.”
About 9H-GLOBL…
As per data from Planespotters.net, 9H-GLOBL is a 11.4 year old Airbus A380 that first started out life with China Southern Airlines back in February 2013.
The aircraft remained with the carrier until it was withdrawn from use in November 2022, and then stored in the Mojave Desert in December 2022.
By January 2023, Jet Midwest took ownership of the aircraft ,before being handed over to Global Airlines a couple of days ago.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on the airline’s continual process in getting themselves into commercial service, with today’s milestone being a part of this. Late 2024 is the expected launch date.
