Chennai’s Amirta has expanded into aviation education by launching an international aviation college through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University College of Aviation Malaysia (UniCAM). The MoU was signed on May 17, 2024, between Mr. R. Boomeenaathan, Chairman of Chennai’s Amirta, and Prof. Dr. Capt. Ab Manam Bin Mansoor, Chairman of UniCAM, during a press conference at The Residency Towers in Chennai.

The new aviation college offers undergraduate programs including B.Sc. Air Transport, B.A. Aviation, and a Diploma in Aviation & Tourism Management, along with several value-added courses. The curriculum features international exposure with a two-year study period at Chennai’s Amirta International Aviation College followed by a one-year study and practice period at UniCAM. During this time, students will have the opportunity to intern at the international airport in Malaysia. This unique program aims to equip students with practical skills, global perspectives, and hands-on experience in the dynamic aviation industry.
