COLOGNE/BONN, 30 April 2026. Eurowings is serving up a new highlight on board: from 1 May, the new Currywurst by Tim Raue will be available in the Wings Bistro. Together with the renowned Berlin-based chef, Germany’s leading leisure airline is bringing a true cult dish on board – reimagined, crafted to a high standard and made for bold moments of flavour above the clouds.
The Currywurst was specifically developed for the Wings Bistro in close collaboration with Tim Raue. As taste perception changes at cruising altitude, the recipe has been carefully adapted to suit in-flight conditions. A balanced blend of spices, aromatic sauces and clearly defined flavours ensures the dish delivers its full taste experience on board. The sausage itself is sourced from traditional butcher Dönninghaus in Bochum, known for its artisanal quality. This makes the new Currywurst more than just a snack: it represents what Eurowings stands for – uncomplicated enjoyment, close to our guests’ preferences and with a clear focus on quality.

“Currywurst is a true icon. For Eurowings, it was important to me to create a version that brings together flavour, quality and my signature balance of sweetness, acidity and heat – with a spiced sauce made from Jaipur curry, white onions, chili and a few secrets. That’s what Berlin tastes like above the clouds,” says top chef Tim Raue.
The new Currywurst by Tim Raue will be available from 1 May in the Wings Bistro on all Eurowings flights where the flight time allows the preparation of hot meals. Priced at 8.90 euros, guests will enjoy a grilled pork sausage in natural casing, served with a fruity tomato sauce and a spiced curry-onion sauce. The new product will be available on numerous Eurowings routes within Europe – while stocks last.
