Avelo Has Flown 1 Million Passengers From New Haven Airport

Avelo Airlines has served one million passengers from its base at New Haven Airport 16 months after launching operations at the airport. The airline’s founder, chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy, will be surprising lucky travelers with free roundtrip tickets to commemorate the milestone.

Avelo celebrates one-millionth New Haven passengers

The one-millionth passenger will be onboard Avelo Flight 357 from Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) departing today (March 24th) at 14:45. Rather than singling out just one passenger, Avelo and Levy will involve all 182 passengers onboard the flight by rewarding each with a roundtrip ticket to any destination in the carrier’s network.

Andrew Levy said,

“Since arriving at Tweed 16 months ago, Avelo has introduced Connecticut travelers to a new era of affordability, convenience and reliability. Today’s milestone demonstrates the appeal our low fares, nonstop access to 15 popular destinations and friendly service are having with travelers throughout the region.”

Tweed-New Haven Airport Authority Executive Director Tom Rafter added,

“It is great to celebrate the one millionth Avelo customer at Tweed-New Haven Airport, and we are excited to keep working alongside them to the benefit of Southern Connecticut and its flyers.”
