Fresh off the back of a busy 2022/23 financial year in terms of hiring, the Emirates Group is picking up where it left off with another recruitment drive. This will see the company scour the world for talent suitable for more than 180 roles, hosting open days and other events across six continents.

Japan Airlines Will Hire Clothes To Tourists To Let Them Travel Light

Japan Airlines has launched a pioneering way to reduce its carbon emissions. The airline has teamed up with one of Japan’s largest corporations, Sumitomo, to offer a clothing rental service for visitors to the country. The logic behind the aptly named Any Wear, Anywhere service is to encourage passengers to pack lighter, reducing the airline’s fuel consumption and the associated carbon emissions.

The 6th And Final Airbus Beluga XL Has Rolled Out With A Special Livery

Airbus has rolled out what it says will be the sixth and final Beluga XL freighter at its plant in Toulouse, France. Based on the A330-200 and featuring a unique livery design, the aircraft joins five similar planes helping the manufacturer to keep up with production schedules at its plants worldwide.

Air Inuit to Retire Its 40+ Year Old Boeing 737-200s

Air Inuit, an airline serving Nunavik, the northern third of the Canadian province Quebec, is retiring its 40+-year-old Boeing 737-200 Combis with three Boeing 737-800s. The 737-800s will be converted to become combis, able to haul both passengers and freight with main deck cargo doors. You can find out more here.

Airbus Officially Opens Its Innovative Wing Technology Development Centre In Filton

This week, Airbus reached a milestone along its ongoing innovation pathway by officially marking the opening of its Wing Technology Development Centre (WTDC). Situated at the manufacturer’s Filton site on the outskirts of Bristol, UK, this new research hub will play host to design and testing work for next-generation wings.

Dream In Pink: Volaris Airbus A320 Gets The Barbie Treatment

Volaris has unveiled a special Barbie livery on one of its A320neos ahead of the world premiere of the upcoming Barbie movie. The plane will serve the airline’s beach destinations this summer. You can find out more in our article here.
