
celebrated the receipt of its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on January 24, according to social media posts.
The cargo carrier reportedly expects to launch services at the end of this month to four domestic destinations, including Cox’s Bazar; Jessore; Dhaka; and Chittagong.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Nizam Ahmad was not immediately available for comment. The company posted photos on social media of its AOC celebration ceremony attended by CAAB chairman M Mafidur Rahman.
As reported earlier, the startup took delivery of its maiden aircraft – ATR72-200(F), S2-AJQ (msn 395) – from owner ACIA Aero after it was granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from CAAB on December 17. It reportedly planned to add a second ATR72 by the end of February and a B737-800 freighter later.

Bangladesh’s NXT Air secures NOC, adds first aircraft
22.12.2021 – 05:43 UTCNXT Air (NXA, Dhaka) has taken delivery of its maiden aircraft after being granted its No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on December 17.
ATR72-200(F) S2-AJQ (msn 395) was ferried to the start-up’s Cox’s Bazar base on December 21, the start-up said in a statement to the Bangladeshi press.
NXT Air plans to operate international cargo flights using a fleet that will include a second ATR72 and a B737-800 freighter.
Other airlines active in Bangladesh’s cargo market include Bismillah Airlines, Easy Fly Express, Hello Airlines (Bangladesh) (NXT’s parent), SkyAir, South Asian Airlines, and True Aviation BD.
