During the signing ceremony held at the hospital, a memorandum of understanding was signed by executives from Asiana Airlines and Anam Hospital. The attendees included Han Seung-beom, who is the head of Korea University Anam Hospital.
This agreement outlines that Asiana Airlines will offer seasonal discounts on airfares ranging from 5-15 percent, along with an additional free checked baggage to international tourists who are visiting S. Korea for medical treatments at Korea University Anam Hospital.
Also, Korea University Anam Hospital is offering discounted rates to Asiana Airlines’ customers. The standard examination fee, which is 756,000 won ($574), will be reduced to 600,000 won.
Patients will also receive a 20 percent discount on supplementary test fees. It’s worth noting that the hospital provides consultations in English, Russian, and Mongolian, making it convenient for international patients from diverse backgrounds.
“We hope that this collaboration will serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the medical tourism industry, which has experienced a downturn following the COVID-19 pandemic.,” an official from Asiana Airlines stated.
