QCAA Hosts Training Course on the CORSIA Plan

Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), in partnership with the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), organized a training course on the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) at the AFCAC headquarters in Dakar, Senegal, from January 13 to 15, 2025. The course was attended by 40 participants from civil aviation authorities and airlines across 14 African countries.
The training focused on the implementation of the CORSIA plan by civil aviation authorities and air operators, with the aim of facilitating its global implementation.
This initiative builds on Qatar’s ongoing efforts since 2019 to support countries in meeting international environmental standards. It aligns with the ACT CORSIA Phase III initiative, which strengthens the capacity of states and provides technical support for the effective implementation of CORSIA. Additionally, it underscores Qatar’s leadership in environmental protection and its commitment to reducing carbon emissions from aviation activities.
