Signing of MoU to Open Airspace Between Qatar and Argentina

A bilateral talks session was held yesterday between the civil aviation authorities of the State of Qatar and Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The talks resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that allows designated carriers from both countries to operate an unlimited number of passenger and cargo flights with full transportation rights. The MoU also includes provisions for code-sharing agreements between the designated airlines, which will make air travel between Qatar and Argentina easier and strengthen their commercial and tourism connections.
The signing of this MoU represents a positive and important step in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector, contributing to the achievement of each country’s vision in this area and their ongoing efforts to develop and improve air transport services.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Mohamed bin Faleh Al-Hajri, In Charge of Managing QCAA, and His Excellency Mr. Franco Mogetta, Minister of Transport and Head of Civil Aviation in Argentina, with the presence of His Excellency Mr. Batal bin Mojab Al-Dosari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Argentina.
Following the signing, the two sides discussed various issues of mutual interest in civil aviation, as well as ways to enhance and develop these areas to benefit both countries.
