Ryanair to go fully digital with boarding passes from November 12

Ryanair announced it will switch to 100% digital boarding passes from 12 November 2025, moving the change back by one week to avoid the busy mid-term travel period. From that date, passengers will no longer be able to print paper passes and must instead use the boarding pass generated in the myRyanair app.
The airline said nearly 80% of its 206 million annual customers already use digital passes. The shift follows other industries that have successfully adopted digital-only ticketing.
Ryanair highlighted benefits such as faster boarding, reduced paper waste, and integration with app features including food and drink ordering, live flight information, and real-time disruption updates.
CMO Dara Brady said the move would deliver a “faster, smarter, and greener travel experience.”
