Aviation News International –\u00a0Loganair<\/a>\u00a0(LM,\u00a0Glasgow International<\/a>) has sold its two last\u00a0Do328-100<\/a>s to manufacturer\u00a0Deutsche Aircraft<\/a>. The two aircraft have been inactive since April 2019.<\/p>\n

Units msn 3089 and 3101 are both of 1998 vintage. The former, D-CDAJ, was ferried to\u00a0Oberpfaffenhofen<\/a>\u00a0on December 16, 2023. The latter, previously registered as G-CCGS and transferred to the German register under an unknown marking, remains parked at\u00a0Dundee<\/a>\u00a0airport.<\/p>\n

The transaction, which was arranged by\u00a0Airstream International Group<\/a>, also entails one spare engine and sundry spares.<\/p>\n

The Scottish regional specialist used to operate six Do328-100s starting in 2013 but retired all of them by 2019. It has replaced the type with\u00a0ATR – Avions de Transport R\u00e9gional<\/a>\u00a0turboprops. The\u00a0ch-aviation fleets advanced<\/a>\u00a0module shows that Loganair currently operates five\u00a0ATR42-500<\/a>s, two\u00a0ATR42-600<\/a>s, four\u00a0ATR72-500(F)<\/a>s, six\u00a0ATR72-600<\/a>s, one\u00a0DHC-6-300<\/a>, two\u00a0DHC-6-400<\/a>s, thirteen\u00a0E145<\/a>s, three\u00a0Saab 340B<\/a>s, and two\u00a0BN-2<\/a>s.<\/p>\n

“Purchasing pre-owned Do328 aircraft is part Deutsche Aircraft business in order to serve market and customer needs,” spokesperson Christian P\u00fcrschel told ch-aviation.<\/p>\n

Deutsche Aircraft is currently developing an upgraded variant of the Do328, dubbed Do328eco.<\/p>\n

“As the Do328 fleet is ageing, the access to Dornier aircraft is more and more limited. So this will not be the future of our company. This is the new D328eco,” P\u00fcrschel stressed.<\/p>\n
