He also shared some statistics about the growth and development of the aviation sector in India.<\/p>\n<p>The Noida\u00a0<a id=\"event-47127\" class=\"ie-click-event\" href=\"https:\/\/financialexpress.com\/about\/airport\/\" rel=\"noamphtml\" data-post-id=\"event-47127\" data-event-category=\"Keyword_To_URL_widget\" data-event-action=\"click\" data-event-label=\"Desktop_3388418\">airport<\/a>, being developed in the Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district near Delhi, is expected to initially serve 65 lakh passengers (per year). This figure is expected to rise to seven crore passengers annually by 2042-43.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-ie-network-blocks-also-read undefined ie-network-also-read\">\n<div><a class=\"ie-click-event\" href=\"https:\/\/www.financialexpress.com\/business\/airlines-aviation-airbus-awards-a-significant-aerospace-contract-for-a220-aircraft-doors-to-dynamatic-technologies-in-bengaluru-3388138\/\" data-event-category=\"as_also_read\" data-event-label=\"https:\/\/www.financialexpress.com\/business\/airlines-aviation-airbus-awards-a-significant-aerospace-contract-for-a220-aircraft-doors-to-dynamatic-technologies-in-bengaluru-3388138\/\">Airbus awards a significant aerospace contract for A220 aircraft doors to Dynamatic Technologies in Bengaluru<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Scindia said that Uttar Pradesh had six airports before 2014. After the Modi government came to power, four more airports were built in the state and five more are in the pipeline. \u201cJewar airport will also be operational by the end of this year. He said that by 2030, India will become the third-largest market in the world.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the country had just 74 airports before 2014 and now the number has increased to 149. The number of passengers has also increased manifold \u2014 from one crore to 14.5 crore during the pre-Covid era and 15.20 crore in 2023.
