{"id":12410,"date":"2024-02-29T10:46:15","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T07:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=12410"},"modified":"2024-02-29T10:46:15","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T07:46:15","slug":"hai-rebrands-as-vertical-aviation-international","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=12410","title":{"rendered":"HAI Rebrands as Vertical Aviation International"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aviation News International &#8211; Helicopter Association International, the nonprofit trade organization founded 75 years ago, announced Tuesday that it had rebranded as Vertical Aviation International (VAI) due to the evolving vertical aviation industry.<\/p>\n<p>Board chair Nicole Battjes and president and CEO James Viola said in a letter to VAI members that the name change was made to reflect the \u201cwave of expansion\u201d being ushered in by new aircraft and technology. They said the new moniker is part of a \u201ctransformative journey\u201d but promised members the group\u2019s commitment to the industry wouldn\u2019t change.<\/p>\n<p>While our name and appearance have evolved, the most important change is our expanded focus,\u201d the executives\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/rotormedia.com\/embracing-our-future-the-decision-to-rebrand-as-vai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a>\u00a0read. \u201cWe support all aircraft capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing\u2014and yes, that absolutely includes helicopters.
