According to\u00a0Sapo<\/a>, TAP was once again distinguished with the title of Best Airline Alliance in the World at this year’s prestigious\u00a0Skytrax World Airline Awards<\/a>, known as the \u201cOscars of the aviation industry\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are honoured to know that millions of customers voted us the best once again. This not only recognises the effort we put into making customer journeys even smoother, but also motivates us to achieve even more,\u201d said Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias.<\/p>\n

Panagiotoulias also congratulated the thousands of member airline employees across the network and added: \u201cThe commitment and effort of every Star Alliance and member airline employee throughout a promising 2023 culminated in this award. I accept this award with pride on their behalf and the praise they received for their dedication.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, the newly opened Alliance Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport won the title of Best Airline Alliance Lounge in the World in its first year of operation.<\/p>\n

The Star Alliance lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport opened its doors in October 2023 and has quickly become a favourite among frequent flyers. This 1,300 square meter facility is conveniently located in Terminal 1, offering exceptional runway views, a welcome bar and an immersive wine section for an authentic French experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe congratulate Star Alliance on a fabulous double achievement at this year\u2019s awards, winning the World\u2019s Best Airline Alliance and World\u2019s Best Airline Alliance Lounge categories. The latest Star Alliance lounge in Terminal 1 at Paris CDG Airport has quickly established itself as an iconic facility and a customer favourite,\u201d said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Alliance awards, 16 Star Alliance member airlines received 47 honors in individual categories, including Best First Class in the World, Best Business Class Catering and several best regional airline awards.<\/p>\n
