Additionally, the airline plans to double its winter flights to Puerto Rico and increase capacity at Tweed by adding more Boeing Next Generation 737-800 aircraft to its fleet. This expansion is set to enhance Avelo\u2019s commitment to providing accessible, dependable, and budget-friendly air travel in Southern Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Avelo is presenting highly affordable one-way tickets beginning at $79* from HVN. This comes\u00a0in addition to Avelo\u2019s increased four-times-weekly service to\u00a0Puerto Rico\u00a0in November, further establishing HVN as a gateway to new and exciting possibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) Welcomes New Avelo Route to New Orleans:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting November 14, Avelo Airlines will launch nonstop services between Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) on Thursdays and Sundays. New Orleans offers a vibrant mix of food, culture, and nightly live music, renowned for its jazz and brass bands, Creole cuisine, unique dialects, and the famous Mardi Gras festival. The French Quarter, known for its French and Spanish Creole architecture, is the city\u2019s historic core, featuring ghost tours, lively nightlife, and the iconic Bourbon Street.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Avelo Enhances Puerto Rico Flights:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From November 8, Avelo will increase its flight frequency to San Juan, Puerto Rico, via Luis Mu\u00f1oz Mar\u00edn International Airport (SJU), offering four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expansion of Fleet and Services at HVN:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This November, Avelo will boost its fleet at HVN with additional Boeing Next Generation 737-800s, effectively doubling its large aircraft count for increased customer capacity through the winter. HVN houses eight of Avelo\u2019s aircraft, making up a significant portion of the company\u2019s total fleet. New Haven stands as Avelo\u2019s largest base, employing over 250 crew members and serving 27 nonstop destinations. Since its inception at HVN in November 2021, Avelo has accommodated over 2.4 million customers on more than 18,000 flights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Avelo: America\u2019s Most Convenient Airline:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since launching on April 28, 2021, Avelo Airlines has served over 5.2 million customers across more than 40,000 flights, now reaching 54 destinations in 25 states, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Mexico.
