{"id":18439,"date":"2024-11-28T11:39:59","date_gmt":"2024-11-28T08:39:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=18439"},"modified":"2024-11-28T11:39:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T08:39:59","slug":"emirates-gets-first-a350-900-delivery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=18439","title":{"rendered":"Emirates gets first A350-900 delivery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai-based Emirates (EK\/UAE) has taken delivery of its first\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=airbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Airbus<\/a>\u00a0A350-900 marking an important step for the airline in its fleet growth strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates has a long standing relationship with\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=airbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Airbus<\/a>\u00a0being the worlds largest operator of the A380 but has relied heavily on\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=boeing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boeing<\/a>\u00a0to form the backbone of its long haul fleet, namely the\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=boeing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boeing<\/a>\u00a0777.<\/p>\n<p>This delivery of the first of 65 A350-900s Emirates has on order and they plan to use the highly efficient aircraft to establish the new \u201cMega Hub\u201d at Dubai World Central (DWC) airport.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates has configured their A350s with a three class cabin with 32 business class, 21 premium economy and 321 economy seats and the cabin also has access to the new\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=airbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Airbus<\/a>\u00a0HBCplus satcom system ensuring global connectivity which will be a first for any airline in the middle-east<\/p>\n<p>In the 300-410 seat aircraft range, the\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=a350\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\">A350<\/a>\u00a0is the most modern and most efficient airliner currently available and combined with the ability to operate on 50%\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/sustainable-aviation-fuel-paving-the-way-for-greener-skies\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\">SAF<\/a>\u00a0fuel blend, it helps Emirates to meet their global emissions targets.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines and the wings are made in\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=airbus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Airbus<\/a>\u2019 wing manufacturing facility in Broughton, North Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates will be using the\u00a0<a class=\"lar-automated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ukaviation.news\/?s=a350\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\">A350<\/a>\u00a0fleet to help broaden Dubai\u2019s economic agenda which aims to add 400 worldwide cities to Dubai\u2019s foreign trade map in the next 10 years.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DWC Mega Hub Plans<\/h2>\n<p>Dubai World Central (DWC) will eventually host all Emirates flights by around 2034 offering five parallel runways once a AED128 Million plan is finished.
