SF Airlines has continued to expand its capacity to the Indian Subcontinent with flights targeting India\u2019s Silicon Valley, Bangalore.
\nThe Chinese express giant said the new service would operate between its Ezhou hub and Bangalore once per week using a Boeing 767-300 freighter, offering a capacity of around 53 tonnes per flight.
\nThe airline said the new flights would target IT volumes associated with Bangalore, which it said was the fifth largest IT centre in the world.
\n“Bangalore gathers many multinational high-tech companies and is known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’. Business and logistics demand are active,\u201d SF Airlines said in a news update.
\n“Relying on the rapid development of Huahu International Airport, Ezhou has the freight advantage of reaching the whole country overnight and connecting the world the next day, becoming an ideal distribution centre for high-value goods such as electronic products and biomedicine.\u201d
\nSF Express has been expanding operations to the Indian subcontinent in recent months – earlier this year, the airline added flights to Islamabad from Urumqi.
\nIt also operates flights to Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai in India and Karachi and Lahore in Pakistan.
\nAccording to Planespotters, SF Airlines has a total of 88 aircraft in service, made up of 18 Boeing 737Fs, four Boeing 747Fs, 43 Boeing 757Fs and 23 Boeing 767Fs.
\nIn December, SF Airlines added its first Boeing 737-800 narrowbody freighter. In February, Boeing also delivered its 100th completed 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) to SF Airlines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
