Menzies Aviation, which provides services to airports and airlines around the world, is acquiring US-based G2 in a $305m deal.
\nThe deal is expected to boost Menzies\u2019 group revenue by 20% to more than $3.1 billion, based on FY 2024 revenue figures.
\nEstablished in 2005, G2 has a strong growth history within the US with a focus on providing passenger assistance, cabin cleaning and ground and air cargo handling at airports across the country, including major airline hubs.
\nMenzies, which has its roots in Edinburgh as the John Menzies stationery business, first entered the US market in 2000 and currently provides ground, air cargo and fuel services.
\nThe deal strengthens Menzies\u2019 position as the largest aviation services business globally, by countries, airports and aircraft turns.
\nIt will see Menzies operating in 340 airports in 65 countries with a global team of 65,000 employees.
\nMenzies Aviation became the world\u2019s largest aviation services company in 2022 when Agility, a supply chain services, infrastructure and innovation company, bought the business.
