The flight attendant union\u2019s frustration stems from what they perceive as a series of strategic failures under previous leadership that have weakened American\u2019s competitive position,\u00a0PYOK<\/a><\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

Former CCO Vasu Raja, who departed in June 2024, continued receiving his base salary until January 2025, totaling $462,019, plus a lump sum payment of $968,750 after his severance period ended, despite implementing strategies that the union claims damaged the airline\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n
