All domestic flights in Taiwan scheduled for Monday morning have been canceled due to the threat posed by Typhoon Danas, according to announcements made by Taiwanese carriers Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air on Sunday.
\nMandarin Airlines said flights will resume on Monday afternoon, with additional services scheduled between Taiwan’s main island and its offshore Kinmen and Penghu counties.
\nUNI Air also confirmed that it will cancel all domestic flights scheduled for Monday morning.
\nThe airline said service to the Matsu Islands (Lienchiang County) would be suspended for the entire day, while other routes would gradually restart in the afternoon, including extra flights to the counties of Kinmen and Penghu.
\nAs of 2 p.m. Sunday, the storm’s center was located about 180 kilometers south-southwest of Penghu County, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
