In addition, Emirates produces approximately <strong>26 million handcrafted chocolate desserts<\/strong> each year across its four cabin classes, ranging from chocolate mousse cakes in Economy Class to premium plated desserts in First Class.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting this large-scale operation, Emirates loads around <strong>750,000 kilograms of premium chocolate giveaways<\/strong> onto its aircraft annually and uses approximately <strong>260,000 kilograms of chocolate ingredients<\/strong> to create desserts served on flights worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>According to the airline, its chocolate offerings are developed in partnership with internationally renowned chocolatiers and premium chocolate manufacturers. Cocoa is sourced from leading growing regions in South America and Africa, with suppliers selected based on quality, craftsmanship, responsible sourcing, and sustainable production practices.<\/p>\n<p>Emirates&#8217; Culinary Design team also tailors chocolate desserts to regional tastes and destinations. Menus incorporate seasonal ingredients and local flavour preferences, featuring combinations such as berries and stone fruits on Mediterranean routes, tropical fruits, yuzu and matcha on Asian services, and pistachio-inspired creations for Middle Eastern destinations.<\/p>\n<p>The airline noted that more than <strong>250 pastry and bakery chefs<\/strong> produce over <strong>120 different chocolate desserts<\/strong> annually, with menus continuously evolving to reflect customer preferences and seasonal trends. Emirates has also recorded an average <strong>5% year-on-year increase in chocolate consumption<\/strong>, particularly for dark chocolate varieties, while salted caramel remains one of the most popular flavour combinations.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the onboard experience, Emirates offers an extensive selection of premium chocolate desserts and confectionery in its First and Business Class airport lounges, featuring creations from internationally recognised brands and artisan partners.<\/p>\n<p>Each cabin class offers a distinct chocolate experience designed to complement the onboard dining service. Economy and Premium Economy passengers enjoy indulgent chocolate desserts, while Business Class customers are served refined pastry creations alongside premium chocolates from UAE chocolatier Coco Jalila.
