The airline recorded a <strong>load factor of 81.9%<\/strong>, a decrease of <strong>2.2 percentage points<\/strong> from June 2025, primarily due to the addition of more available seats across its network.<\/p>\n<p>For the first six months of 2026, airBaltic transported a total of <strong>2.45 million passengers<\/strong>, marking a <strong>3.9% increase<\/strong> compared with the same period in 2025 and setting a new record for passenger traffic during the January\u2013June period. Over the same timeframe, the carrier operated <strong>23,634 flights<\/strong>, representing a <strong>5% year-on-year increase<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The airline currently connects the Baltic States with <strong>more than 80 destinations<\/strong> across Europe and beyond, supporting regional tourism, business travel, and economic development through expanded connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1995, airBaltic is Latvia\u2019s flag carrier and operates one of Europe\u2019s youngest fleets, consisting entirely of <strong>Airbus A220-300<\/strong> aircraft. The airline employs more than <strong>3,000 people<\/strong> and is majority-owned by the Latvian state.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, airBaltic has continued to strengthen its market position through innovation and service excellence. In 2025, it became the first European airline to introduce <strong>free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet<\/strong> on board its flights.
