AVIATION NEWS-<\/strong>The first Syrian Airlines flight from Moscow arrived at Damascus International Airport on Sunday following the liberation, marking the resumption of the carrier\u2019s air services between Syria and Russia.
\nOmar Hosari, President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport, told SANA that the resumption of the route was part of broader efforts to rebuild Syrian Airlines\u2019 regional and international presence.
\n\u201cWe are working to reconnect Syria with the world, launch more direct routes and provide wider travel options for citizens,\u201d Hosari said.
\nHe said the plans were part of an integrated strategy to expand the airline\u2019s network and strengthen Syria\u2019s air connectivity with regional and international destinations.
\nHosari said Syrian Airlines is expected to resume services to several regional and international destinations in the coming period.
\nThe expansion will also include new European destinations, which will be announced gradually as the airline continues to rebuild its international network, he added.
\nThe resumption of Moscow services is part of Syrian Airlines\u2019 broader network expansion as Syria works to restore air connectivity after years of disruption.
\nThe carrier returned to the European market with direct Damascus-Amsterdam flights on July 2 and resumed weekly services to Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on Aug. 11.
\nSyrian aviation authorities have also reported increased traffic through the country\u2019s airspace, with 20,315 aircraft transiting Syria in July 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
