The 76th edition of the Festival de Cannes is scheduled to happen from May 16th to May 27th this year, and as the official partner for the renowned event, French flag carrier\u00a0Air France<\/a>\u00a0will operate three special flights to offer a direct flight service between the home of Hollywood – Los Angeles – and Nice, France.<\/p>\n

Air France connects Hollywood to the Festival de Cannes<\/h2>\n

Besides the high demand for wanting to soak in the atmosphere of the famous international film festival in Nice, Air France decided to offer special flights to respond to the booming travel demand from its\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0passengers who want to enjoy the French Riviera in the spring.<\/p>\n

These special flights between\u00a0Los Angeles International Airport\u00a0and Nice C\u00f4te d’Azur Airport will be operated by the flag carrier’s newest flagship aircraft, the\u00a0Airbus A350-900. Configured with 324 seats, the Airbus widebody includes 34 in business class, 24 in premium economy, and 266 in economy.<\/p>\n

Air France connects the Big Apple to a different Cannes festival<\/h2>\n

A month later, in June, Air France will also be operating four special flights between\u00a0New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport\u00a0and Nice C\u00f4te d’Azur Airport for the occasion of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which takes place between June 19th to June 23rd.<\/p>\n

Contrary to the dedicated flights for the Festival de Cannes, these flights will be operated by Air France’s fleet of\u00a0Boeing 777-300ERs, which have been recently retrofitted with the airline’s\u00a0new long-haul cabins\u00a0to feature full-flat beds in business class, recliner-type seat models in premium economy, and improved comfort for the economy class seats.<\/p>\n

Since the special\u00a0flights\u00a0operate only on specific dates, catching them might be difficult for film enthusiasts. But fret not, as being the official airline partner of the Festival de Cannes for more than four decades has some perks, including over 1,500 hours of in-flight entertainment.<\/p>\n

And not just any typical type of in-flight entertainment, as the French arm of the\u00a0Air France-KLM Group\u00a0will be showcasing a wide selection of French films and movies that have won awards at previous editions of the Festival de Cannes. Best of all, these movies will be available in the airline’s\u00a0long-haul\u00a0cabins all year-round.<\/p>\n

Other than the busy preparations for the Festival de Cannes and the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Air France is also preparing for the upcoming summer season as it looks towards a healthier year of recovery for higher profits.<\/p>\n

While the summer schedule is yet to be finalized, the\u00a0SkyTeam1\u00a0member is already teasing passengers with improved frequencies, such as operating up to 26 weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Los Angeles and anticipated flight resumptions, like the return of direct flights between Paris and Hanoi.<\/p>\n
