Regional private airline, aircraft charter, and aircraft management provider Tradewind Aviation will expand its operational footprint with the establishment of a\u00a0base at New York’s\u00a0Hudson Valley Regional Airport (KPOU,\u00a0formerly Dutchess County Airport).<\/p>\n
By midyear, the company will occupy a 50,000-sq-ft hangar there with two acres of ramp to serve its Hudson Valley customers\u00a0and to provide maintenance and operational support for its facilities at Westchester County Airport (KHPN) in nearby\u00a0White Plains\u00a0and Connecticut\u2019s Waterbury-Oxford Airport (KOXC).<\/p>\n
The move comes as Tradewind is in the process of expanding its fleet of Pilatus PC-12NGXs. It recently ordered\u00a020 of the turboprop singles\u00a0and received its first of these aircraft\u00a0late last year. Deliveries will continue at a rate of four per year for the next five years. The operator is also looking to expand its managed aircraft base.<\/p>\n
