The route will now be its joint least-served from the US mainland to Hawaii.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"united-cuts-dulles-honolulu-flights\">United cuts Dulles-Honolulu flights<\/h2>\n<p>A long route of 4,817 miles (7,752 km), United had intended to operate Washington Dulles-<a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/honolulu-international-airport\/\">Honolulu<\/a>\u00a0daily between June and August, a peak summer frequency it last had in 2019. OAG data shows that it has been daily in this period for many years since the route launched in June 2012. Examining booking data shows that Norfolk\u00a0<em>over Dulles<\/em>\u00a0to\/from Honolulu was the most popular market, presumably because of the US Navy.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the top 10 origins and destinations were Honolulu to\/from Raleigh Durham, Hartford, Boston, Newark, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, and Cleveland. Seven hubs have flights with service to four Hawaii airports.
