{"id":5434,"date":"2023-04-20T11:10:05","date_gmt":"2023-04-20T11:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=5434"},"modified":"2023-04-20T11:10:05","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T11:10:05","slug":"new-aircraft-mechanic-school-in-the-works-for-kcvg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=5434","title":{"rendered":"New aircraft mechanic school in the works for KCVG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Construction has begun on a new aircraft mechanic training facility at\u00a0Cincinnati\/Northern Kentucky International Airport\u00a0(KCVG).<\/p>\n<p>A groundbreaking ceremony was held April 17, 2023, for the new school, which is a partnership between\u00a0FEAM Aero, a provider of aircraft line maintenance services, and\u00a0Epic Flight Academy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of this new school at CVG Airport is a significant step towards our goals of helping to expand the aviation maintenance technician workforce and diversifying the industry,\u201d said Cam Murphy, president of FEAM Aero. \u201cWorking with Epic in conjunction with CVG allows FEAM Aero to provide invaluable hands-on experience to all future AMTs by giving them real-world experiences, working on the various aircraft that enter our hangars, and the ability to work while in school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added the company will award up to eight scholarships this year to those interested in attending Epic Flight Academy\u2019s maintenance school at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/skyvector.com\/airport\/KCVG\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#skyvector\">KCVG<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<div id=\"avp_zid_34_or_33_1\"><\/div>\n<p><\/center>The building, expected to be completed in early 2024, will be 32,292 square feet with parking and classroom space to house up to 300 students and staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Construction has begun on a new aircraft mechanic training facility at\u00a0Cincinnati\/Northern Kentucky International Airport\u00a0(KCVG).
