The airline&#8217;s debut of its newest destinations to join its\u00a0route network\u00a0is expected to occur next year.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"quot-a-fantastic-travel-experience-quot\">&#8220;A fantastic travel experience&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>Birgir J\u00f3nsson, CEO of PLAY Airlines, spoke about the new service in a statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We are excited to add Verona and Fuerteventura to our growing list of destinations and to offer citizens of Verona and Fuerteventura the opportunity to visit Iceland with PLAY Airlines. Verona is an Italian city in the heart of the Vento region featuring Italy&#8217;s culture, food, and nature.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Visitors can indulge in the city&#8217;s delicious culinary scene and enjoy a glass of local wine while exploring the historic center, or take a day trip to the nearby ski resorts for some winter fun,&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0the airline said.<em>\u00a0&#8220;Some of the best ski resorts near Verona include Madonna di Campiglio, Folgaria, and Alpe Cimbra.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Flights to Verona are scheduled to be seasonal service, ending on February 24, 2024.<\/p>\n<section class=\"emaki-custom-block emaki-custom-tip\">\n<div id=\"custom_block_9\" class=\"emaki-custom tip\">\n<p>We&#8217;d love to see you on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/simpleflyingnews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram &#8211; follow us here<\/a>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"ad-odd\"><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"service-to-fuerteventura\">Service to Fuerteventura<\/h2>\n<p>PLAY will begin service to Fuerteventura this December to cater to any travelers who wish to escape the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/winter\/\">winter<\/a>\u00a0cold in Iceland. On December 20, 2023, the airline will inaugurate flights to the second-largest Canary Island of Spain once a week on Wednesdays.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This stunning island in the Canary Islands is renowned for its warm weather and sandy beaches,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>the carrier explained.\u00a0<em>&#8220;Visitors can explore the island&#8217;s unique landscapes, go hiking or surfing, and experience the local culture.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The service to Fuerteventura will also be seasonal, expecting to run until April 10, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>PLAY also mentioned that the airline offers several adventures throughout Iceland to visitors from Verona and Fuerteventura. Passengers can fly to Reykjavik and connect to other destinations through the carrier, allowing them to discover the features and experiences of Iceland, such as lagoons, waterfalls, and the Northern Lights.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-even\"><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"huge-growth\">Huge growth<\/h2>\n<p>The announcement of the new seasonal flights to Verona and Fuerteventura comes as PLAY has grown its route network significantly. As a result,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/play-q1-results-2023\/\">PLAY more than tripled its first-quarter revenues<\/a>\u00a0during the same period the year prior.
