Video footage shows the aircraft veering into low vegetation and losing control on uneven ground to the left of the runway.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft subsequently ground looped before striking a perimeter fence side on, causing significant damage to the airframe.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-about-halla-airlines\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Halla Airlines<\/h2>\n<p>Halla Airlines is a Somali airline headquartered in Nairobi,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationsourcenews.com\/?s=kenya\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kenya<\/a>. It was founded in 2015 and began operations in 2016. The airline\u2019s main base is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.<\/p>\n<p>The airline operates to a number of destinations in Somalia, including Mogadishu, Garowe, and Bosaso. Halla Airlines also flies to Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-update-statement-by-somali-caa\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update \u2013 Statement by Somali CAA<\/h2>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<p>The Somali Civil Aviation Authority have issued a brief statement, which confirms the accident took place when the aircraft landed on RWY 05 Aden Adde International Airport at 12.23PM local time on 11 July.<\/p>\n<p>The CAA confirms that 34 passengers and crew were onboard the aircraft; no fatalities occurred and two occupants sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Somali aviation regulator will now carry out an investigation into the landing accident.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a developing story.
