{"id":7421,"date":"2023-07-18T09:14:05","date_gmt":"2023-07-18T09:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=7421"},"modified":"2023-07-18T09:14:05","modified_gmt":"2023-07-18T09:14:05","slug":"online-courses-for-mechanics-on-aircraft-records-launches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=7421","title":{"rendered":"Online courses for mechanics on aircraft records launches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aircraft maintenance technicians want more professional prestige and higher pay.<\/p>\n<p>Aircraft owners, brokers, appraisers, and insurers wish that aircraft maintenance records were better maintained.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to solve both problems, the Foundation for Business Aircraft Records Excellence has created a set of 10 online courses and a certification program designed specifically for aircraft maintenance personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The new self-paced courses promote best practices, improved safety, and compliance in the aviation industry, according to officials with the non-profit Foundation for Business Aircraft Records Excellence (BAR).<\/p>\n<p>The new courses cover a wide range of topics, including the importance of aircraft records, maintenance records and documentation, logbook entries, certificates of airworthiness, data approval, and more, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p>The courses draw on information from the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Handbook, the Airman Certification Standards, and the real-world experience of BAR\u2019s team of maintenance professionals with more than 200 years of combined experience in business aircraft maintenance and operations, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn update to the education materials available for aircraft documentation and recordkeeping is long overdue,\u201d said Larry Hinebaugh, BAR executive director. \u201cWe believe that our courses can help increase professionalism and best practices in the aviation industry, which is vital to improved safety, increased compliance, and reduced errors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<div id=\"avp_zid_34_or_33_1\"><\/div>\n<p><\/center>Courses include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Importance of Aircraft Records<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance Records and Documentation<\/li>\n<li>Title 14 CFR, Parts 43.9 and 43.11 Logbook Entries and Return to Service Requirements<\/li>\n<li>Certificates of Airworthiness and 8130-3 Airworthiness Certificates<\/li>\n<li>8110-3 and 8900-1 Data Approval<\/li>\n<li>TCs, STCs, Form 337s, and ICAs<\/li>\n<li>Excessive or Unnecessary Information<\/li>\n<li>Task Cards, EOs, and SRM References<\/li>\n<li>AD Notes, SBs, ASCs, and Modifications<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Aircraft Records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>BAR officials note that the group discounts and special pricing for schools and training centers is available.<\/p>\n<p>For more information:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/businessaircraftrecords.org\/education\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/businessaircraftrecords.org\/education\/\">BusinessAircraftRecords.org\/Education<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aircraft maintenance technicians want more professional prestige and higher pay.
