Aviation news international – To unlock opportunities in the aviation industry, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has signed the Civil Aviation Masterplan (CAMP) with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).<\/p>\n

The Director General of Civil Aviation Nigeria, Captain Musa Nuhu, and ICAO Secretary General, Juan Carlos Salaazar, signed the agreement during a visit to ICAO in Montreal, Canada, with a promise that the masterplan would unlock opportunities in the Nigerian aviation industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a major step in repositioning the nation\u2019s aviation industry to attain its full potential and make significant contributions to the nation\u2019s economic growth and development,\u201d Nuhu said.<\/p>\n

He stated that all relevant stakeholders within and outside the aviation sector would be involved in developing and implementing CAMP.<\/p>\n

In another development, Nuhu with his counterpart in the Republic of Benin, Karl Legba, have signed the Aeronautical Search and Rescue (SAR) memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Nuhu said the long-overdue MoU would enhance the safety of flight operations in the region.<\/p>\n

Also signed were the SAR agreements between Nigeria and Togo in Lome.<\/p>\n

Nuhu and his Togolese counterpart, Col. Latta Gnama, signed the pact on behalf of the two countries.<\/p>\n

The NCAA boss disclosed that more SAR MoU would be signed with neighboring countries in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
