{"id":9134,"date":"2023-10-10T07:52:06","date_gmt":"2023-10-10T07:52:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=9134"},"modified":"2023-10-10T07:52:06","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T07:52:06","slug":"rokstone-hires-aigs-lanford-as-global-head-of-aviation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviation-news.info\/?p=9134","title":{"rendered":"Rokstone hires AIG\u2019s Lanford as Global Head of Aviation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rokstone, an international specialty re\/insurance MGA, and part of the Aventum Group, has announced the appointment of Jordan Lanford as Global Head of Aviation.<\/p>\n<p>Based in Atlanta and with more than 20 years\u2019 experience of Aviation, Lanford will join the MGA at the end of October.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his new appointment, he spent 17 years at AIG, most recently as Head of Aerospace for North America, and he began his career as a commercial pilot and flight instructor.<\/p>\n<p>As Rokstone\u2019s Global Head of Aviation, Lanford will grow the global aviation team and portfolio, initially focussing on North America and developing the MGA\u2019s existing portfolio in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Lanford\u2019s appointment, James Potter, CEO of Rokstone, said: \u201cWe\u2019re very excited to have Jordan on board with market leading support from Allianz Commercial. Our specialist knowledge, use of technology, including an in-house market leading actuarial team based in London, and our disciplined approach to underwriting means we protect our capacity collaborations long term and provide excellent returns for our capacity providers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rokstone plans to further invest in building out its aviation team with respected aviation professionals and technology solutions to enhance the trading experience.<\/p>\n<p>The North America facility will be built in collaboration with AA Rated (S&amp;P) Allianz Commercial, and will concentrate on SME business: light aircraft, commercial aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, Commercial General Liability (airports, fixed base operators and service providers) and Manufacturers\u2019 Products Liability for non-critical component providers.<\/p>\n<p>Dave Warfel, Regional Head of Aviation for North America, Allianz Commercial, said: \u201cWe are excited to announce this collaboration with Rokstone which will allow Allianz to further expand our reach into previously untapped sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith an already well-established position and a proven track record, Rokstone can now significantly expand their offerings and solutions across the industry.
